The room was compact and I had an incredibly nice breakfast. It had favourable and absolutely perfect location really close to Yi fu si Temple. The hotel was in a busy area, just off Malaysia and other places as well as pretty of restaurants. Was an easy base for trip.

Location
The restaurant is too small, and the buffet breakfast provides limited food selection.. And since it is so small, we do hve to wait for at least half hour to be served.. And they dnt even hve enough seats in the lobby too.. It seems so unprofessional of this hotel doing the business.. And the food in the restaurant cost too much.. and upon checked out, the morning receptionist double-charging us..they charged us service and govt tax twice.. after i corrected him, by showing the confirmation receipt from Booked.net,he agreed to refund the extra charges..so, pls, keep the confirmation receipt from Booked.net and doublecheck the amout this hotel charging you upon check out.. i believe, many guest of this hotel have been double charged!!!

I was first attracted by the low price & knowing that it's at Georgetown so I booked it! The hotel is awesome for its location & cleanliness.. The location is so convenience that it's only 5min walk to shopping centre. During night time, it's a stroll to all the local hawker food & 24hr store! You can't find any better hotel than Hotel Sentral..
The bfast is very average but I trust tourist who visit Penang would wish to try the local delight on the street more than hotel buffet! The toliet is really cold with the fan inside.. I guess you need to switch off the aircon outside before u shower.. If not, it will be freezing cold!

The location indicated on Booked.net is slightly off but we managed to find it (walk from Jln Macalister to Lrg Kinta). Quite clean for a budget hotel. We had the family room, so space wasn't a problem. They let us drop of our bags first before check-in time to go strolling around. Staffs smiles, I wouldn't say "friendly or helpful" but they put on the effort to smile. Great location for its night street vendors @ Lrg Baru. 10-15Min to Komtar.
Things are starting to fall apart in the relatively new hotel (water heater, headboard, flooring etc). We put on the "Do-not-Distrub" light switch while we're out but found our beds made when we came back, nothing's missing though. Our room was at the end of the hallway opposite the maids' work station & storeroom with rattlings throughout the night, but we have earmuffs. I have had bad hotel breakfasts before but this one takes the cake, the Included Breakfast is of small variety & low quality, I'm from M'sia myself & had no idea where the hell they get their canned-beans from, they are the worst. "Hard-Boiled Eggs" were found to be 10% cooked with the yolk entirely raw, highlighted to staff & was replied with "Sorry Sir (Smile)". Skipped hotel breakfast entirely the next day for real Penang breakfast outside.

The breakfast was decent overall, but the main dish could use improvement. the hotel's location is fantastic, making it super convenient. If you snag a deluxe king room on the higher floors, you'll be pleased. the facilities here all worked well during our stay! 🌟
